Tips to Reduce Holiday Stress
With Christmas just three days away, my fellow procrastinators are most likely starting to feel that holiday stress settle in. Now is the time to make those last minute dashes to the mall for forgotten gifts or to replenish your wrapping paper stash. But before getting too overwhelmed by your holiday “to-do” lists, check out these helpful holiday survival hints for those of us who haven’t been preparing since post-holiday sales last year!
Don’t delay – get gifts on their way: The last day to ship by FedEx Express for guaranteed delivery before Christmas is tomorrow, December 23. For additional deadlines to ship your gifts in time for the holidays, click here.
Get organized: Make a list of gifts, decorations, and wrapping supplies that you’ll need to get you through the holiday season . You may even want to break out your checklist by the stores you need to visit. This can help keep you from shuffling through too many papers and keep you focused on getting the necessities. I personally like to put these in the notes on my smartphone for easy access.
Head over to your local FedEx Office for some great, last minute, personalized gifts. My favorite go-to gift in a hurry is a customized calendar featuring photos of the recipient from the last year, their favorite things, or a beautiful place they’ve visited. Speaking of last-minute gifts, fellow blogger Kellie posted some great ideas last year in her Last Day, Last Chance blog post.
Remember to relax! Holidays are all about appreciating time with the family and friends – even if you forgot to send out those Christmas cards.
